Hello, my name is Cynthia Sanders (Mrs. Sanders), and I am excited to be teaching Middle School Social Studies for AMS-Avondale. I was born and raised in the "Natural State" - Arkansas.  I moved to Arizona in 2007 with my family from Bowling Green, Ohio where my husband was a professor at Bowling Green State University.

 

I got my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, as well as, my Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Memphis - Go Tigers! 

 

My husband and I are officially  "empty nesters". Our only child - Kaylynn received her Master of Science in Public Health in May 2020 from Johns Hopkins - Bloomberg School of Public Health and she now resides in Washington, DC.

 

My hobbies include all kinds of crafts, reading, singing, and drinking Earl Grey Tea with cream.
