Leonor Lopez (Ms. Lopez) received her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts at California State University, Fullerton in Orange County, California. She's a graduate of the California State University Fullerton Multiple-Subject Teacher Credential Program. She received an Associate of Arts Degree in Humanities and Language at Irvine Community College. Ms. Lopez recently moved to Arizona from Irvine, California and is new to the Academies of Math and Science teaching Third Grade English Language Arts and Social Studies. She has worked in the field of Education for five years. She's a mother of three children, two of which studied Chemistry and History at California State University, Berkeley and the third attends eighth grade at AMS Avondale. Ms. Lopez has a passion for the environment, geography, great literature, the cosmos, art and music . She enjoys playing tennis, traveling, camping, and watching anything that's funny with family and friends. She is a fan of Serena Williams, Dolly Parton, Nelson Mandela, Carol Burnett, and the Harry Potter Book Series. Above all, Ms. Lopez believes that education should be fun, challenging and accessible to all.
